Spell Casting is the internal ability to work magic through the recitation of incantations. It is one of the most common abilities employed by witches in witchcraft. Witches have the ability to perform supernatural spells that affect the natural world. One of the most obvious characteristics of witches is their ability to cast spells; a spell being the word used to signify the means employed to carry out a magical action. A spell could consist of a set of words, a verse, a ritual action or any combination of these. Majority of the spells are spoken in an ancient language similar to Latin.
Applications[]
The capabilities of spell casting are nearly limitless; though it depends on the type of magic being invoked and the proficiency of the witch. Spell Casting can replicate the effects of other powers such as pyrokinesis, though they may also be the result of non-verbal spells.
Limitations[]
Since most spells are spoken verbally and take time to take effect, witches are vulnerable to attack before their completion. Additionally, certain spells require items, tools, and/or special events during casting; therefore they can't be invoked on mere whim. Concentration is also an important factor for spell casting and interruption may lead to the spell's failure or disastrous results.
