A Medium is a person with the ability to see and communicate with the spirits on The Other Side. To become a medium, a human must die and be brought back to life. The Anchor of the Other Side are mediums because they are living on both sides; but they can see every ghosts, not only those they know. They also obtain the ability to interact physically with ghosts.
History[]
The attempts of human-spirit communications have been documented since the begining of human history. Mediumship became most popular during the 19th-century in the United States and the United Kingdom after the rise of spiritualism as a religious movement. Modern Spiritualism is said to date from practices and lectures of the Fox Sisters in New York State 1848. The trance mediums Paschal Beverly Randolph and Emma Hardinge Britten were among the most celebrated lecturers and authors on the subject in the mid-19th century.
Anchor of The Other Side[]
People who are use as the Anchor for the spell of the Other Side live on both sides (the Other Side and our Side) so they gain the abilitiy of Mediumship; but unlike simple Medium, they can see and interact physically with every ghosts, even if they don't know them. Ayana is currently the anchor to the other side. Allowing her to be a collegiate student and live her life with her friends. Whenever a supernatural being dies she feels their pain consistently.
Powers & Abilities[]
The only known ability that mediums possess is the ability to communicate with residents of the Other Side. This power is limited by a few factors:
- A medium can contact only those on the Other Side that he or she knew while they were alive.
- However, a medium can communicate with someone they didn't previously know, if someone else (including non-mediums) thinks about memories of the person in question.
